After much trial and error, I finally feel I've grasped how to navigate my white Sony camera. With a sense of accomplishment, I located the charging port, learned to swap out the batteries, and inserted the memory card myself. LOL. I’ve also mastered the art of attaching the lens to the camera’s body, which felt like a small victory in my photographic journey.
As I delve deeper, I’m beginning to unravel the mysteries of photography. Terms like F-stop, ISO, shutter speed, and aperture are slowly becoming less intimidating and more familiar, each concept weaving itself into my understanding of how to capture the world through my lens. I yelled at Danny, expressing my need to grasp these fundamentals by doing them myself so I wouldn’t fumble around aimlessly. I’ll never learn if I don’t have any common sense when using my camera.
With the camera in hand, I ventured into Salem and began practicing. It felt good to take the camera out and finally use it. The terminology is finally settling into my brain with each camera use. Furthermore, the more I explore this creative avenue, the more confident I’m becoming behind the lens.
Nothing too spectacular, but here are the photos I took in Salem:
