We made it to AEW Grand Slam live for a second year in a row! The most notable moment of the night was definitely Saraya's surprise appearance! This is the best surprise I've ever experience at a wrestling show in my life. If you're a wrestling fan, then you know that news outlets usually ruin it when someone is speculated to debut in AEW or any other wrestling promotion for that matter. I was so confused about who it could be that when the screen finally said "Saraya" my brain just stop working entirely. Bitch... WHAT? After having a neck injury that has put her on the sidelines for quite some time now, it's inspiring to know we'll get to see her continue her dreams and wrestle once again. I'll never forget Bryan Danielson's speech when he returned to performing in WWE after being told he'd never wrestle again. "When you fight for your dreams, your dreams start fighting for you."

Can You Feel My Heart?
The first time I had ever heard a Bring Me The Horizon song was on a sleepy morning drive to the train station while I was on my way to work. Happy Song rang through the speakers of the car courtesy of Sirius XM’s Octane, which I had loathed listening to a majority of the time. It was one of those songs that spoke to me at the time, which was a good 6-7 years ago. Sometimes, all it really takes is a heavy song to release you from your inner spiraling. Fast Forward to 2020, Danny introduced me to their Post Human: Survival Horror EP, which includes a collaboration between BMTH and BABYMETAL that I never knew I needed in life. Ever since then, I’ve been invested in this new journey of BMTH fandom. So much so, that when a tour was announced, there wasn’t much hesitation in buying tickets for the show.
But Don't Worry, We are With You
I’d been waiting for this concert for over two years due to the pandemic, but in reality, I’ve been waiting for this show all my life. Rammstein doesn’t visit the US very often being an industrial metal band from Germany. In fact, the band has gone lengthy periods of 8-10 years without touring here. The last time Rammstein played a show in New York, it was back in 2017 for a one off performance at Jones Beach, which I sadly could not attend. Ironically, Rammstein was on the lineup on The Pledge of Allegiance tour with Slipknot and System of a Down in 2001, but left the tour before the NJ show that I attended back when I was teenager. So, Rammstein announcing their North American Stadium tour in 2020 was unprecedented. I was BEYOND excited. It was finally my chance to see Rammstein live at least once in my lifetime.

Letterboxd Recap: December!
Here's what I watched in the month of December! This month consisted of some new Christmas flicks, along with me rushing to watch TV series and movies I haven’t seen before 2022 ends.

Christmas in New York
Living here in New York, I’m often jaded, wanting to embark on a new adventure elsewhere. I can’t wait for the opportunity to experience Christmas time in London, Paris and Vancouver one day soon. However, there are moments when New York keeps surprising me. I journeyed down to Lower Manhattan to see the Christmas tree at the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street. I must say, I think I found my new favorite Christmas tree in the city! I love the way the ornaments dazzle along the colorful lights at night.

Christmas Dates in the City
I went on a cute Christmas date with Danny to eat at Papillon Bistro & Bar this week, and check out all the festive decorations around Midtown. I’m always scheming and planning itineraries of places I want to go with Danny, which sometimes includes my diabolical mission of having him take photos of me. It’s me, Hi. I’m the problem, it’s me.

Disneyland vs. Disney World
After visiting a few times now, I’ve concluded both the positives and negatives of Disneyland in comparison to Disney World. While Disney World will always be home to me, Disneyland possesses a charm that is unmatched!

Disneyland!
It’s been three long years since I’ve last visited Disneyland. In 2019, I had the psychotic idea of going to both Oogie Boogie Bash and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the same week, but hey, who can say they’ve been to both Disneyland AND Disney World in the span of 7 days? This time around I really wanted to spend an entire week at Disneyland to soak it all in and not feel like I was rushing to accomplish everything I set out to do during my time there. I don’t get to go to California as much as I would like, so I wanted to enjoy my time admiring Disneyland’s magic. Before each Disney trip, I usually write out a bucket list of Disney tasks I’m trying to accomplish before the end of my trip. It usually includes snacks I’m trying to stuff my face with, merchandise I want to throw my money at (for me, this usually involves Mickey ears 😅), and nighttime shows I want to attend.

Oogie Boogie Bash!
Last year, I had major fomo seeing Disneyland bring back their new Halloween party, Oogie Boogie Bash. It wasn’t long before I fell through another rabbit hole with the persistent need to attend OBB in 2022. I was lucky enough to have experienced Oogie Boogie Bash back in 2019 when it was introduced as a replacement for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party. It quickly became my favorite Disney holiday party, and I have always anticipated bringing Danny to this magical event. Needless to say, I began making plans to finally make the trek back to California for my third visit to Disneyland. I was even more excited this time around because Danny’s never been to a proper Disney Halloween party due to the pandemic, and it would be his very first time visiting the Disneyland Resort!
