Turtle Power

Growing up, I was a lover of both Batman and Polly Pockets. Barbies and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... and I mean, a HUGE lover of TMNT. I watched the first two films (The Secret of the Ooze was my favorite), and the animated series of the early nineties like it was my day job. I’m not sure what was so enticing about these pizza loving, crime fighting reptiles, but I had everything from a Raphael Christmas stocking to action figures to TMNT feetie pajamas...

Turns out, miles and miles away from my hometown on Long Island, Danny was apparently rocking the SAME EXACT TMNT feetie pajamas. Our obsessions were the same. This is how I know we are soulmates. This is how I know we were meant to be. Did you own the same feetie pajamas as your significant other when you were both TMNT- crazed, tiny humans? I think not. What’s even more crazy is we both have photographic evidence that was taken during Christmas time. Were we both hyped up on pure Christmas joy on the SAME EXACT day in the SAME EXACT pajamas?! I love learning about these minor details and connections we both have. It makes me fall in love with Danny even more than I already am (if that’s even possible).
