Christmas Dates in the City

I went on a cute Christmas date with Danny to eat at Papillon Bistro & Bar this week, and check out all the festive decorations around Midtown. I’m always scheming and planning itineraries of places I want to go with Danny, which sometimes includes my diabolical mission of having him take photos of me. It’s me, Hi. I’m the problem, it’s me.

My itinerary:
*Lunch at Papillon Bistro & Bar
*The Peninsula New York
*Lotte New York Palace
*Rockefeller Center
*Radio City Music Hall
*Avenue of the Americas Christmas Tree

I’ve been wanting to dine at Papillon Bistro & Bar because of their over the top Halloween decor during the spooky season. Turns out their Christmas decorations are just as extravagant, so I booked a reservation for December. When I walked into the restaurant, it seemed like every square inch of this place was adorned in Christmas decor. I loved it! However, the food wasn’t as extraordinary. Our lunch was very expensive for basic steak and fries. I feel like I was really paying to take photos in their Christmas setting. It reminded me of when I paid for an overpriced, mediocre buffet just so I could dine with Pooh & friends at The Crystal Palace in Disney. Would I dine here again? Maybe for next Halloween season so I can see the decor, but I’ll probably stick to a burger. For Christmas dining, I need to weasel my way into a reservation at Rolf’s German restaurant next year.

After lunch, we were able to get through most of my intended itinerary. I didn’t make it to Bryant Park or Hudson Yards because my boots were killing my feet and it was getting late, and when I say late, I mean 6pm… LMAO. If you’re a fellow introvert, you’ll understand. The fact that I even left the house is a Christmas miracle. Also, not me saying the Rockefeller Tree is the most basic bitch Christmas tree in NYC, and still visiting it to take photos in front of it. LOL. Stay tuned for more Christmas adventures!
