Barbie, Eat Your Heart Out

 He has arrived! It has been my dream for a VERY long time to have my very own life-size replica of Chucky. I’ve been patiently waiting for the perfect Bride of Chucky version to appear on the market, and NECA really said “hold my beer.” WeIl, I’ve been holding that beer for quite some time now, but it was worth the wait. I asked my Mom to pre-order my Chucky back in 2021 for Christmas. It was the perfect gift for me, especially since a replica doll like this costs around $500. However, I didn’t know then that he wouldn’t be arriving until a year and a half later. Throughout these months, I’ve randomly spoke out into the nothingness, asking when my Chucky would arrive. 

I screamed when NECA announced that life-size Chucky and Tiffany dolls were in production. NECA is a highly respected manufacturer of toy collectibles in the horror genre. If you’re new around here, NECA has tried to bankrupt me several times as I absolutely love their Gremlin collectibles and Danny cries every time a new TMNT action figure enters the scene. Yes, they’ve expanded into non-horror franchises like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! It’s a nightmare. As if their Godzilla figures weren’t enough. So when I say NECA producing life-size replicas of Chucky is a big deal, it’s a BIG DEAL.

I’ve always hated the way many Chucky replicas looked. I had almost lost hope because it seemed no one could get it right, especially the Bride of Chucky version. I’ve specifically always wanted the BOC version because I think Chucky looks his best when he’s all bruised, bloody, and battered with stitched up scars and staples coming out of his head. Finally NECA has gotten it right, just like I knew they would! Chucky looks amazing!!! I love him so much…

The attention to detail is immaculate. His face, lifelike eyes, hair and clothing… NECA went above and beyond to make this doll most screen-accurate. Creepy enough, he looks almost TOO real. I also love the detail of his box. They’ve included blood splatter and burn marks to make it look damaged. Speaking of the box, it’s huge considering Chucky is 30-inches tall. We still need to find a proper place to display him. Nevertheless, he’s currently my favorite possession right now. I can’t get over how ADORABLE he is. Don’t be fooled though, my horror collection is still not done yet. I won’t stop until the Babadook pop-up book and Necronomicon are in my hands!
