Complicated

I was inspired by Julia Hart to do a goth look this Halloween. She wrestles in AEW as a member of the House of Black, which includes Malakai Black, Brody King and Buddy Matthews. I recently stumbled upon her Instagram and questioned Danny as to why he never told me she had such banger photos. Julia Hart truly is a vibe, and I’m jealous of the creativity in her photos. In recent months, she’s been wrestling more and more instead of just being the House of Black’s valet. I was super excited when she finally became the TBS champion at Full Gear.

I’ve honestly always wanted to do more goth looks. I’m not a goth girl myself, but I follow and admire many women who are. It speaks to the side of me that loves all things dark, metal and horror-themed. Although, I feel like I’m cosplaying rather than being myself when I do sport more gothic looks. I think I feel this way because I can never commit to one aesthetic. I honestly wish I could, but I have such dual personalities. I want to be both Stereotypical Barbie and Goth Barbie. I want to be a Spice Girl while channeling Wednesday Addams. I want to be a Powderpuff girl that also morphs into Lydia Deetz. It’s impossible to do this, so I just swing back and forth between both aesthetics with no clear identity, trying to mush both together the best I can.

Having one singular aesthetic would make life so much simpler in terms of wardrobe, accessories, home decor and holiday decorations. However, I’ve come to accept that I’m not a simple girl. I will always be… complicated.
