I finally had the chance to visit Rolfs, a festive German restaurant in NYC renowned for its enchanting Christmas atmosphere that draws large crowds during the holiday season. Funnily enough, my visit took place on the last weekend of September. I decided to fully embrace the opportunity by donning a Christmas outfit for the occasion, which made for some cute photos in an empty restaurant.
On that rainy Saturday afternoon, the ambiance was surprisingly calm, with only a handful of people gathered at the bar. Danny and I decided to warm up with some delicious hot cider, taking in the stunning decor around us. We snapped several photos, but the owner and bartender didn't seem to mind, as there weren't many patrons during our off-season visit.
I had found some mediocre reviews regarding the food and dining experience at Rolfs, but I found that visiting during a quieter time at the bar was ideal. It allowed us to enjoy our drinks in a relaxed environment while marveling at the beautiful Christmas decorations that adorn the place year-round. After all, with such a charming setup, experiencing the festive decor even during fall seemed like a unique opportunity worth seizing!
