New Laptop, Who Dis?

Ten years later, and I finally bought a new laptop. Although, my old MacBook Air still works, I think we can all agree it was time for an upgrade. I also wanted to be like Danny, and have a fancy new laptop too. Let's face it, I'm very impressionable. It wasn't long after Danny had bought his MacBook that I started spiraling down the rabbit hole. There was no saving me. I'm too stubborn once I have my heart set on something. I'm actually proud of myself though because this is the first computer that I've invested in with my own money for once.

I decided to continue on with another MacBook Air. I love how sleek and light these laptops are. I cannot stand how bulky and heavy my work PC is, especially during times when I have to haul it between Brooklyn and Long Island. The new model is also powered by Apple's new M1 processor. This means very little to me though. I was more fasinated by the fact that the laptop now comes in gold. So, here I am blogging to you from a brand new, ravishing gold MacBook.

MacBooks are the more feasible option for me. I can blog more easily considering my photos and notes automatically sync with my iPhone. Also, with 512GB of storage, I can now download all my photos from professional shoots and not rely on my phone to store copies anymore. My favorite features right now are its battery life and the Touch ID. I'm still salty Apple removed Touch ID from their iPhones, and NO, I still haven't gotten used to facial recognition on my 12 Pro Max. It's not convenient, and I will hold a grudge until the end of time.

I also prefer Apple because, every day during work, I am reminded how unreliable and inefficient Windows OS can be. My laptop always loves to crash while I'm in the middle of a super important deadline, and haven't yet saved my work in Excel. I can certainly do without the classic weekly disruptions of working on a PC. I miss the sheer speed and responsiveness of a MacBook that it's so refreshing to not be on a PC for once.

I was also super excited to find a cute case from Velvet Caviar. My ugly Dell could never. It summarizes my personality perfectly in four words: Don't fucking touch me.
