Fall Festival πŸŽƒ

I recently attended the Fall Festival at Waterdrinker on Long Island to satisfy my craving for a pumpkin patch experience. I want to explore new places, but it's challenging since I don't drive, and many farms in the tri-state area are far away. The convenient location of the Waterdrinker farm allows me to easily hop on an LIRR train and take an Uber to get there.

I captured some cute photos at the pumpkin house, sunflower field, and corn maze during my visit. Although the sunflowers seemed to be wilting, they added a spooky ambiance fitting for Halloween, especially after seeing Leatherface wandering through the field in the latest Texas Chainsaw Massacre film. While the farm had mums in full bloom, the area was relatively small, and I was slightly disappointed. I had envisioned vast mum fields like the ones at Holland Ridge Farm, so my expectations might have been too high. Waterdrinker is gradually making strides to rival the grandeur of Holland Ridge, but it's not quite there yet. I adore that farm so much and wish it wasn’t in South Jersey.

I had a good day overall. The farm was quite crowded, but I found some spots to escape people. The weather was nice – not too warm, but not too chilly or windy. The cloud cover was perfect, and I didn't have to deal with the sun constantly in my face while taking photos. However, I'm still searching for a more genuine fall experience. I crave more picturesque scenery and classic fall treats like apple cider slushies and donuts to capture that quintessential basic fall girl photo. I think I might need a break from social media. It's driving me crazy to see all these amazing places I can't visit right now. My wandering heart constantly yearns to venture into unexplored territories and embark on new adventures. Maybe next year, I'll be more successful.
