Christmas in New York

Living here in New York, I’m often jaded, wanting to embark on a new adventure elsewhere. I can’t wait for the opportunity to experience Christmas time in London, Paris and Vancouver one day soon. However, there are moments when New York keeps surprising me. I journeyed down to Lower Manhattan to see the Christmas tree at the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street. I must say, I think I found my new favorite Christmas tree in the city! I love the way the ornaments dazzle along the colorful lights at night.

I also find the atmosphere of the Financial District much more peaceful than other parts of Manhattan during evenings and weekends. If you’re looking to visit a beautiful Christmas tree in the city that is not overtaken by noisy crowds, then you should definitely make your way downtown. Danny was able to take mostly empty photos of me in front of the NYSE tree on a Sunday evening, which is an impossible feat if you were visiting Rockefeller Center.

My itinerary:
*Violent Night at Alamo Drafthouse (still no sugar cookies, but there was hot chocolate)
*Shake Shack
*The Oculus
*New York Stock Exchange
*Seaport District Tree
