More Halloween Dates 🎃

We finally visited Oscar Wilde during the Halloween season! Unlike Lillie’s Victorian Establishment, Oscar Wilde’s was adorned head to ceiling with creepy, blood-thirsty clowns with special guest appearances from Pennywise and Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Originally, I wanted to wear my blood splatter dress from BlackMilk Clothing with my Pennywise beret and SS George bag BUT I can’t find my dress. I know it’s somewhere in this tiny room in our apartment because I wore this dress at MonsterMania. I think it’s a testament to me having too much clothing. Despite my internal meltdown about not wearing the outfit I intended (because I’m incredibly stubborn and need to stick to my plan), I decided to still don my Pennywise beret and get over it.

I was simply captivated by the clown decor here. I loved it! The music was booming in this place. I was hoping it would be more mild during weekend brunch, but no. Although I had to scream while talking to Danny, I was vibing to the remixes. I heard quite a few Aaliyah songs, so much so that I wanted to watch Queen of the Damned. I still don’t know how I feel about this vampire flick despite it having a cult following. It has not aged well at all, but I do love Aaliyah and Jonathan Davis. Anyway, Danny and I both ordered chicken and waffles, which was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. I made Danny order a Sinful Sangria while I got a mimosa for myself so I could try both. The sangria was delicious, and I was mildly envious of his drink even though I made the decision for him lol.

After visiting Oscar Wilde, I wanted to visit the infamous Abracadabra because it was close by, but it had a line down the block. It seemed everyone was getting their costumes last minute with the Halloween weekend already here. I cannot fathom this as someone who plans costumes months to a year in advance. I already have quite a few options picked out for next year. I wasn’t looking for a costume. I just wanted to look around, especially since Terrifier 2 scenes were filmed there. I guess I will have to come back now that Halloween is over lol.

I can’t wait to find and try more festive Halloween places next year! I definitely love seeing more Holidays than just Christmas being celebrated in restaurants here in the city now.
